LBC 2020 Wins Fall Uprising!
by posted 11/05/2015

LBC 2020 Capped off a great opening weekend performance with a come-from-behind win in the Championship of Fall Uprising.

2020 went 3-1 in pool play with an 18-3 win vs. Looney, a 16-3 win vs. HoCo and and a 16-1 win vs. Elite 2020.  LBC 2020's only loss was a 14-9 decision to X-treme Red where draw control was the name of the game.  LBC made the playoffs when their goals against was the lowest of the one loss teams.

LBC 2020 Dominated the first 2 rounds of the playoffs with an 11-2 victories over both Check-Hers and the York Invaders to advance to the Championship.

On the other side of the bracket X-treme received a first round bye and easily took care of Carolina Flight to advance to the Championship Game.

The Final was a great game between two evenly matched games.  After several lead changes LBC 2020 found themselves down 2 with about 8 minutes remaining.  Camryn Pepper dominated the draw in the 2nd half of the game and Caitlyn Lane made some key saves in the goal to propel LBC to a 7-6 come-from-behind victory over X-treme 2020 Red.

What a great start to the Fall Season!

LBC 2022 Wins Fall Uprising!
by posted 11/05/2014

LBC 2022 Won this past weekend's Fall Uprising Tournament in dominating fashion.

The weekend started out with a great game with a much improved Maryland United East team.  In the end, LBC was too much.  A couple great goalie saves and a couple of quick goals in transition were the difference.  LBC 2022's pulled out a hard fought win in terrible weather conditions 11-8.

The 22's 2nd game of the weekend came against Elite Lacrosse Club 22.  LBC quickly ran their record to 2-0 with a 19-6 victory.

Saturday morning started with a match-up against Cardinal 22 out of Virginia.  LBC 2022's had no problem getting to the finish line first in this one, winning 13-3.

Going into the last game there were two undefeated teams in the 22's bracket,  LBC and Pride Red 22.  LBC needed a dominating defensive performance to assure their spot in the Championship if Pride 22 won their final game.  Even though Pride ended up losing their last game, the 22's held up their end of the bargain pitching a shutout against API Select 22's 16-0.

The win against API Select left the 22's undefeated and heading to the championship game against an undefeated NEMS 22 team.

The 22's got off to a fast start against the NEMS scoring right from the opening draw.  Two great passes and a great finish by Caroline Embry got the 22's off to a good start.  The game was never in Question even with some very good goalie play from the NEMS Goalie.  LBC Cruised to a 4-2 victory and a Fall Uprising Championship.

LBC 2021 goes 4-0 at Fall Uprising!
by posted 11/04/2014

LBC 2021 started the fall tournament season out with an impressive 4-0 record at the Fall Uprising.

The 21's opened with Prospects Pride 21 and blew open a close game midway through the 2nd half cruising to a 13-8 win.  Coach Kesley Dean was impressed with how quickly a new roster came together as team on Saturday.

Next up for LBC was Cardinal 21.  A 7-5 victory was made possible by some great team defense.  Saturday ended with a cold but happy LBC squad going 2-0.

Bright and early Saturday morning the 21's started out slow against Rebels 21 Black.  After giving up a couple quick goals early in the game the 21's defense was ignited by great redefending and ground balls.  The Rebels were held scoreless much of the game and a key free position goal by Lauren Facchina put LBC up 8-3.  The 21's gave up a couple late goals when the game was no longer in question and ended with a 8-5 victory.

LBC pounded TLC White 14-8 in their final game.  Abby Simonetti lead the way in goal for LBC with several impressive saves.  The final victory came with mixed emotions for the girls.  Given LBC and Maryland United East were both undefeated, the tiebreaker went to goals against which MDU East had the advantage.  Although the 21's were happy with their performance, they would have loved a shot at the playoffs.  MDU East was very deserving and went on to win the Championship for the 2021 division.  I'm sure we will see them this summer.

Great weekend!  Great Group of girls!
